2017 Volunteer of the Year
Carlos Gallardo – Farmers & Merchants Bank
Volunteers are the cornerstone of our organization and are vital to raising awareness in the communities in which they live and work. Each year, the Santa Fe Springs Chamber honors an individual for their commitment to outstanding volunteerism and making a difference. This award recognizes an outstanding volunteer for their valuable and selfless dedication, and contributions.
Carlos Gallardo, Farmers & Merchants Bank, this year’s recipient is a quiet force behind the scenes. Carlos is an Ambassador and a mentor with our YEF mentoring program and is a strong supporter of both the Chamber and the Youth Enrichment Fund and offers to help wherever he sees a need. He is always available to help and is willing to take on the jobs that no one else wants to do. He
Carlos often refers new business to the Chamber and even goes on marketing calls with Colin. Prior to the Business Expo, he canvased businesses inviting people to attend. He helped with set up & clean up and did parking lot duty during the Business Expo (which is one of those jobs no one wants!)
At the golf tournament – Carlos got up early to help set up and then spent the day running a contest hole for the Chamber.
On a personal note, Carlos is a husband and father and an award winning DJ, he volunteers his time distributing food to underprivileged families and is an all-around nice guy.
We are proud to name Carlos Gallardo of Farmers & Merchants Bank the 2017 Volunteer of the year.
