Volunteer of the Year

Volunteers are the cornerstone of our organization and are vital to raising awareness in our community. Each year, the Santa Fe Springs Chamber honors a chamber member for their commitment to making a difference. This award recognizes an outstanding volunteer for their valuable and selfless dedication and contributions.

This year’s Volunteer of the Year is Trese Childs, Corporate Catering Sales Manager for the DoubleTree by Hilton Whittier-Los Angeles.

The first thing you must ask yourself about Trese is how does she do it?  She is everywhere, and not just attending, but actively involved. Trese is exactly the person you want on your team because she shares ideas and suggestions, rolls up her sleeves and lends a hand when needed. She is always kind, friendly and smiling.

Let’s look at a few of the things this person does for the Santa Fe Springs Chamber of Commerce: She was the Chairperson for our Choices Program, served on our Destiny Dinner Committee, sponsored Networking at Noon and hosted the Business Card Exchange. She volunteered her time at the chamber’s golf tournament and the Business Expo and she attended 23 events (not including meetings).

As you can see from this impressive list Trese is an essential part of the success of the SFS Chamber. Congratulations to Volunteer of the Year, Trese Childs Corporate Catering Sales Manager for the DoubleTree by Hilton Whittier-Los Angeles.
